World Surgery Forum: From 2022, they are going to start MRCS ENT. Until this year they used have DOHNS which they have rebranded as MRCS ENT…
MRCS ENT will be more useful for you
“From 2022, candidates will no longer be able to attain the Diploma in Otolaryngology – Head
and Neck Surgery. Instead, they will have to follow the requirements for the MRCS (ENT).
For getting MRCS ENT, a candidate will have to
pass the MRCS Part A (MCQ) and the DO-HNS Part 2 (OSCE) as per section 2.2 of the
Intercollegiate MRCS (ENT) regulations.
Candidates who already hold a pass at DO-HNS Part 1 or who pass the DO-HNS Part 1
before it is discontinued will still be able to attain the Diploma in Otolaryngology – Head and
Neck Surgery if they pass the DO-HNS Part 2 (OSCE) within seven years of passing the
DO-HNS Part 1, as per section 4.1 of the Intercollegiate DO-HNS regulations.”
