NEET SS 2022 cut off was released on September 15 along with the merit list. Cut off is the minimum percentile of marks required to meet the criteria for the exam in that particular super speciality. As per reports,, the qualifying NEET SS 2022 cut off is 50 percentile. Candidates who score the minimum cut off score will be qualified for NEET SS 2022 counselling. The NEET SS 2022 exam was held on September 1 & September 2. NBE released NEET SS 2022 results on September 15.

Candidates will also be able to set a target score for the examination with the help of the NEET SS cut off. There are many aspects that determine the cut off for NEET SS exam. A few of them have been listed below:

- The difficulty level of the question paper

MCC will conduct the counselling on the basis of NEET SS 2022 scores. Overall, two rounds of NEET SS 2022 counselling will be held for admission to 2,447 DM/MCh/DNB super speciality seats. As many as 156 government, private, deemed and Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) institutions will participate in NEET SS counselling 2022. The candidates who secure 50% NEET SS cutoffs will be eligible for the counselling of NEET SS 2022.To take part in the counselling, students will have to register at the MCC portal by entering personal and NEET SS exam details along with payment of required fee and security deposit. After the registration, candidates will have to submit their preferences of specialization and colleges for taking admissions in the institutions respectively. Based on the criteria filled by candidates, availability of seats, rank, reservation criteria and other factors, NEET SS seat allotment process will be completed. Candidates with allotted seats in NEET SS 2022 counselling results will have to report to the institute for document verification and admission.
Note: It must be noted that admission to super speciality courses at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER), National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro-Sciences (NIMHANS), Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER), and Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute of Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST) will not be granted through NEET SS 2022 counselling.

NEET SS Cutoff: Revising the Qualifying Percentile
MCI will update the qualifying cutoff for NEET SS 2021, if the number of qualified candidates is less than the number of seats available for the super speciality course. In that scenario, the qualifying NEET SS 2021 cut off can differ from course to course.
Based on MCI’s revised criteria – NEET SS cut off for 2020:
The cut off reduced to 45th percentile
- The revised NEET SS cut off 2020 scores equivalent to percentile was released for 32 super specialities
Based on MCI’s revised criteria – NEET SS cut off for 2019
- The minimum qualifying percentile for CTVS, Cardiology and Paediatric Surgery was lowered to 20th percentile
- For the remaining Super Specialty courses, the revised qualifying percentile was lowered to the 40th percentile
